Couture fashion has a new muse—trash. Why spend a small fortune on a silk gown when there are old shower curtains lying around? Discarded lampshades can be reincarnated into hats; vegetable steamers gather inspiration from Madonna, circa Blond Ambition World Tour. Troupe de Trash, a group of designers promoting environmental solutions, will present Fashion through the Ages: A Couture Trash Fashion Revue Friday, May 29 and Saturday, May 30 at 8 p.m. at the Center for the Arts, 314 W.
