Domino

Many films excel in creating an original visual style; some manage an exciting screenplay with dynamic characters. Rarely does a movie combine these attributes as effortlessly as Domino does. This dizzying epic, loosely based on the life of model-cum-bounty-hunter Domino Harvey (played here by Keira Knightley), has a visual style unparalleled in mainstream cinema. Almost every shot is manipulated in some way: sped up, slowed down, overexposed, underexposed, reversed, tinted or just generally messed with. Somehow, against all odds, this craziness never gets tiresome; the movie is as fresh in its final frames and it was in its first. Domino is a twisting mess in the best way, a film that will kick you in the balls and leave you gasping for air but still somehow wanting more (you sicko).
