Do you dare?
The Old City Cemetery, the final resting stop for some of Sacramento’s earliest citizens, is a great place to learn about the history of the River City. Volunteers on the cemetery committee frequently offer public tours and tell stories about the men and women 6 feet under. Usually, these expeditions are conducted in the clear light of morning, but this Friday the tour begins at 7 p.m. Are you willing to tiptoe through the tombstones at twilight and examine history in the shadow of nightfall? Warning: there will be no moon to light your way. Brave historians should meet at the main gate at 10th and Broadway. Call 448-0811 for more information.
