Dinner and a book
Guess who’s coming to dinner at the Sacramento Vegetarian Society’s monthly potluck? Gene Baur, president and co-founder of animal advocacy organization Farm Sanctuary and Farm Sanctuary: Changing Hearts and Minds About Animals and Food author. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing by Baur, with proceeds benefiting the sanctuary. It’s on Sunday, November 21, from 5:30 to 7:15 p.m. at the Deterding Community Center (1415 Rushden Drive). Bring a vegan dish to share, your own dining gear and a $2 donation.
