Date Movie

Alyson Hannigan (from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and American Pie) and somebody named Adam Campbell (from God knows where) star in a parade of gags that desperately attempt to parody every movie made in the last 10 years. “From two of the six writers of Scary Movie!” proclaim the preview trailers—presumably referring to writer-directors Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer. Well, of those six writers, Friedberg and Seltzer must have been the ones who went for coffee and made sure the printer didn’t run out of ink; though Scary Movie did have the occasional stray accidental laugh, this one has nothing—it’s a perfect storm of not funny. The Internet Movie Database says Seltzer and Friedberg have at least six projects “stuck in development.” And this is the one that got made; draw your own conclusions.
