Some find it astonishing that the Donnas, which started life as a high-school-aged chick-rock band from Palo Alto, are signed to Atlantic Records. But it is a universal dynamic that novelty progresses toward the stasis of legitimacy. They play the University Union Ballroom at California State University, Sacramento, 6000 J Street, at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 22. Also playing are Chicago pop band OK Go and local sensation ¡Bucho! (pictured), which has a new record coming out on the House Cat label and looks like it’s fixing to move up to a title bout. Tickets are $10 general admission or $8 for students.
