Crawfish & Catfish Food & Music Festival
Yolo County Fairgrounds, Saturday 9/7 through Sunday 9/8, $15
Hot boiled crawfish, catfish, alligator and gumbo are featured in part of this two-day celebration of Louisiana cuisine. The second part: live music. A second line brass band competition pits the City of Trees Brand, Element Brass Band, MJ’s Brass Boppers and Dirty Chops Brass Band against each other. Nearly 20 bands are on the bill, including Souled Out, Motordude Zydeco, Sol Peligro and BeaufunK with Michael Jefferies, formerly of Tower of Power. 1250 Gum Ave. in Woodland.
