No doubt this is the holiday show to see—especially if holiday shows aren’t your thing. Every Christmas Story Ever Told (and Then Some!) isn’t a pastiche; it’s a mash-up, a sort of Danger Mouse does Dickens that reinvigorates all the familiar tales of the season.

Capital Stage’s third annual (and final, for a while at least) production of the frenetic and funny send-up of Christmas shows includes pop culture and pagan tradition, a great Jimmy Stewart impression, audience participation and more than you ever wanted to know about what constitutes a BHC—“beloved holiday classic.”

Anthony D’Juan, Gary Martinez and Jonathan Rhys Williams take on a dizzying array of roles at speeds that seem to be approaching the sound barrier. They make sick jokes just a little sicker and puns even more pun-ish with just a roll of the eyes, a flick of the wrist and a drop of the jaw.
