Craft is off the case
The Christine Craft Show will not be broadcast on progressive radio station KSAC (1240 AM) for a month as the host faces a use-it or lose-it proposition: either she take the vacation time that’s due to her now or she relinquishes those hours forever. Craft opted to take the four weeks of vacation. However, her quick leave ends her live daily coverage of the infamous baby-shaking trial in Auburn, where nanny Veronica Martinez Salcedo stands accused of fatally injuring 15-month-old Hannah Rose Juceam. Using donations from listeners, Craft—who has made no secret her sympathies for the defendant—hired a reporter to cover the trial and provide updates during her show. But with the host on vacation, KSAC apparently has no plans to maintain the reporting, according to Craft.
