Coyote Ugly

About halfway through this girl-goes-to-big-city-to-realize-musical-dreams fable, I actually wasn’t hating it. After that girl (Piper Perabo) starting singing very bad songs, I started losing interest really quickly. You’ve seen the commercials with girls dancing on bars, and that’s not too hard on the eyes. But the majority of this film is awfully hard on the ears, with dialogue written for a 2-year-old and really bad music. The bar, a sadomasochistic place where men and women go for bad booze and the occasional fist-fight, looks like it would be a real headache to visit on a Friday night, as is this movie.
