Cottini’s critters

Carrie Cottini established herself in the Sacramento art scene by painting vividly hued, wide-eyed, ciggie-smoking, contemporary young women with a penchant for vintage objects. But some things have changed: She has since relocated to San Francisco and has been painting portraits of animals. What hasn’t changed is the critter canvases are still colorful and retain Cottini’s whimsical aesthetic. How Fast Is a Snail’s Pace? Animal Portraits by Carrie Cottini.
