I’m losing my patience with this sort of movie.
SNL star Chris Kattan (famous for his male dancer Mango) stars in this unfortunate comedy about Corky, a veterinarian who goes undercover in the FBI as a favor to his mobster father. Things start funny, as Corky is introduced lip-synching to A-Ha’s “Take On Me,” but things go downhill quickly. Kattan is a relatively funny guy, and this movie isn’t as bad as
It’s Pat,
but it is quite bad, and it’s an insult to the likes of Peter Falk, Peter Berg and Chris Penn, who all have roles. I think I laughed twice, and they were but the mildest of chortles. This will probably fare well at the box office, which means
Mango: The Movie will get the green light.
