Congrats to the Sammies 2012 winners
Winners of SN&R’s 21st annual Sacramento Area Music Awards
Things we saw Friday night at Ace of Spades during the 21st annual Sammies Festival and Music Awards: 1. Andy Hawk of 98 Rock (KRXQ 98.5 FM) and Casey Lewis of Radio 94.7 (KKDO 94.7 FM) beating each other with walking sticks; 2. Autumn Sky rapping with Project4Trees; 3. rapper Spice 1 making a surprise cameo onstage with Arden Park Roots; 4. Element Brass Band zigzagging through the sold-out crowd with giant tubas and trombones; and 5. The Voice’s Lindsey Pavao handing the New Artist award to high schooler Parie Wood.
Yeah, it was a red-letter night. Props to all the performers, presenters and attendees. And this year’s winners, of course.
