The Green Lantern makes being green look easy.
You’ve missed the last few comicons, and you’re anxious for some action of the pen-and-ink persuasion. Attending Oni Press Day at A-1 Comics might scratch that itch. A host of writers and artists from the independent comic press in Portland, Ore., will answer questions and sign autographs. The most notable is Judd Winick, current writer for DC Comics’ Green Lantern, creator of the Barry Ween series and one-time resident on MTV’s The Real World 3: San Francisco. Greg Rucka, whose comic Queen & Country was just optioned for a movie, will be attending as well. Get his autograph now, so you can say you met him before the film was a hit. The event lasts from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m on Sunday. A-1 Comics is located at 1850 Douglas Boulevard, Suite 514, in Roseville. Admission is free. Call 783-8005 for more information.
