Come out of the pantry

Nearly everyone hoards canned goods. While many are “stock piling” for a some sort of future catastrophe, there’s a more pressing emergency at hand: the increasing numbers of people who are going hungry. That’s why it’s time to go through the pantry and donate a few cans to the Senior Gleaners, who will use the goods to create art and help feed the hungry. The Senior Gleaners Canscapes Competition will be November 9-13 at the Elk Grove Auto Mall, 8585 Laguna Grove Drive in Elk Grove. Teams have five days to build “canscapes” with the donated goods.
