Shaun Slaughter, a deejay and graphic designer extraordinaire (he designed this flier), wants you to put on your dancing shoes and do your part to help with Hurricane Katrina relief efforts.

Beginning this Tuesday and continuing through the following Monday, various club promoters will throw their weekly bashes and donate the cover charges to the American Red Cross to assist in Hurricane Katrina relief. First up, deejays Shaun Slaughter and Roger Carpio present Lipstick (inside Old Ironsides). The party kicks off at 9 p.m. this Tuesday, September 20. The cover is $5. On September 22, The Press Club will host a Pretty in Pink Prom party. Don your prom attire and pay $5; prom crashers pay $10. The music starts at 9 p.m. On September 24, the Go-Go Club (located inside The Press Club) will throw a Disco Madness party. Doors open at 9 p.m. The cover charge will be $5 for those dressed for the discotheque and $10 for everyone else. Finally, on September 26, Club Pow! (also located inside The Press Club) will host Fuck Katrina, featuring live performances by the Evening Episode, Jacob Golden and Chelsea Wolfe. Visit www.myspace.com/djdada for more information.
