Those who like a lot of bang for their buck can certainly find that in an upcoming film and stand-up comedy event in Auburn. It'll combine the screening of an indie documentary called 3 Still Standing with a “live stand-up multi-media event” featuring comedians Will Durst, Johnny Steele and Larry “Bubbles” Brown—the San Francisco comics who are the subject of the aforementioned documentary. 3 Still Standing tells the story of how these three comedians rose to fame in the San Fran comedy scene in the '80s, but didn't really get big breaks in TV or movies. It also features interviews with comedians from the S.F. scene who did make it big: Dana Carvey, Rob Schneider and the late Robin Williams—to whom the film is dedicated.
