Chief Braziel: ‘legalize them’

Sacramento Police Chief Rick Braziel and former Chief Arturo Venegas called for immigration reform that includes heightened border security and the legalization of undocumented workers.

Braziel said the current immigration system is a burden to local cops, because immigrants are often reluctant to report crimes or even talk to local police. “That’s a sad state of affairs when even a minor incident causes people to flee and not engage with law enforcement.”
