Check out Three Stages at Folsom Lake College

A week ahead of the inaugural show at the new Three Stages at Folsom Lake College performing-arts complex, there’s a chance for a cheap sneak peek at how the venues will actually work. A community showcase will highlight the opening festivities this weekend, with performances from local high-school, college and community troupes. The show, on Saturday, February 5, is a very reasonable $12-$15, and will give the community a chance to “test-run” the venue before the touring company of A Chorus Line opens on February 11. Since the acts booked include musical (the Folsom Lake College Afro-Cuban Funk Band and the Sierra Community Chorus), dance (Folsom Lake College Mosaic Dance Company and Folsom Lake Civic Ballet) and theatrical (Sutter Street Theatre) groups, it will be a great way to get a feel for the venue’s capabilities.
