Cell, The

A child psychiatrist (Jennifer Lopez) taking part in mind-exploring experiments must enter the thoughts of a serial killer (Vincent D’Onofrio) to discover the location of his latest soon-to-die victim. Vince Vaughn also stars as an FBI special agent hoping to find the victim before it’s too late. A visually spectacular film when Lopez is bounding about in various dream worlds, but rather boring when the action doesn’t involve the experiments. The dream sequences are so well-done that it’s easy to forgive the film’s lack of dramatic punch.
