Call for creativity

If you ever wanted become part of Nevada City’s creative community as more than just a doe-eyed fan of Joanna Newsom, now’s your chance—as long as you’re an independent filmmaker. From now through June 15, submit your feature, documentary or short film by visiting www.nevadacityfilmfestival.com. If selected, you can see it on the big screen from August 14 through August 17 at the Nevada Theatre, the National Hotel, the Miners Foundry and The Magic Theatre. The first-place winner of the festival wins a $300 prize.
