Burrito baby

Some veggie burritos have sneaky nonveggie ingredients: whey in the tortilla, lard in the refried beans, rice cooked in chicken stock. And remember, cheese and sour cream technically aren’t vegetarian (dairy products don’t grow on trees). The exception: Taqueria and Pupuseria Isabel (3071 Freeport Boulevard) has the most delicious bundles of vegan burrito joy for only $4, with perfectly grilled vegetables and the choice of whole or refried pinto or black beans. Upgrade to the $5 “super” sans the dairy inclusions for a bulging burrito baby in your belly that could easily be two meals.
