B.R.M.C. rolls into town
Harlow’s, 9 p.m., $18.50
In 2001, B.R.M.C. was born from the womb of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. The first album from this young California trio was saturated with fuzz and a sense an aloofness in its iteration of rock ’n’ roll, kind of a like a British interpretation of how rebels in black leather motorcycle jackets might sound. But the band’s sound in its subsequent releases over the years has evolved, containing more American folk and gospel influences. The band’s sixth baby, Beat the Devil’s Tattoo, is due on March 9, and there will be a baby shower for it?—all right, this analogy is just creepy now. Summarization: B.R.M.C. New album. First show of tour. Friday night. 2708 J Street, www.blackrebelmotorcycleclub.com.
