Bring it on, Picnic Day

It’s good to see this revered UC Davis tradition known as Picnic Day still being carried on and serving as an open house for prospective and current students, families, alumni, staff, faculty and the greater Sacramento community. Open to the public all day are the numerous art and science exhibits, performances from virtually every genre of music and theater from cultures around the globe, presented by our nation’s best and brightest in Davis. And while you’re there, don’t miss tomorrow’s leaders as they consume crass amounts of alcohol at 9 a.m., black out around noon, wake up with a hangover around 5 and chain smoke in their living rooms while watching reruns of Scrubs, wondering, “What the hell am I doing with my life?” Bring it on, Picnic Day.
