Brazil won’t be thousands of miles away come Saturday—it’ll be in Sacramento, because it’s time for the Brazilian Center for Cultural Exchange of Sacramento’s Carnaval celebration. There will be capoeira demonstrations, Brazilian food and drinks, Sambada, the Mistura Brasileira Samba Dance Company and more exciting festivities. It’s the ninth year of the event, and the theme is “Save the Amazon.” Come join in the revelry and see what the Brazilian Center has to offer. 5pm, no cover. 2420 N Street, facebook.com/braziliancarnavalsacramento/events.
