Attention, cult horror fans: Here’s your chance to hit all the bases and impress your movie-geek friends. Attend the first-ever taping of a late-night horror show, watch an awesomely gruesome movie and glimpse the elusive Mr. Lobo in person. Who is Mr. Lobo, you ask? You may remember him as the writer, director and performer of KDVS’ “Radio Theater” during the late ’80s and ’90s—bizarre stuff. Now he hosts “Cinema Insomnia,” the syndicated cult horror show, which will be featuring its first live broadcast taping on Saturday with the wacky macabre horror flick The Undertaker and His Pals. Can’t get enough Lobo? Go back Sunday night as he presents Virginia Creepers, a full-length documentary about Virginia and Washington D.C.-area horror hosts. Just make sure to steer clear of the punch bowl.

Mr. Lobo hosts Cinema Insomnia Live featuring The Undertaker and His Pals on Saturday, August 14, at 7 p.m.; $7; advance tickets available at www.moviesonabigscreen.com. A screening of Virginia Creepers is on Sunday, August 15, at 7:30 p.m.; $5. Both events are part of the Movies on a Big Screen series and held at Guild Theater, 2828 35th Street.
