Big Daddy

Adam Sandler stars as a slacker law school graduate with a big mouth and a big heart in this crude, spasmodic romantic comedy. In an attempt to impress his girlfriend (Kristy Swanson) with a newfound sense of responsibility, he sort of adopts a 5-year-old (played by the Sprouse twins from TV’s Grace Under Fire) after the child is left on his Manhattan doorstep. The particulars of the plot and some wildly funny comic touches take a backseat to numerous urination, body fluid and body part gags as Sandler turns his young roommate into a fellow Neanderthal before struggling with the realities of parent-child and man-woman relationships. Directed by Dennis Dugan (Happy Gilmore).
