Beyond creepiness
Some people were just meant to play creepy characters in movies. It’s not that those actors were born with particularly creepy features. If someone saw Ray Park on the street, they wouldn’t say, “Wow, he’d make a perfect Darth Maul.” Creepy character actors just know how to restrain their good looks, contort their body language and cause audiences to check under their beds before calling it a night. Park, along with other creepy character masters Bill Moseley (Chop-Top in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2) and C.J. Graham (Jason Voorhees in Jason Lives: Friday the 13th Part VI) will be at Sacramento’s horror and sci-fi convention From the Land Beyond 2. Loveable sci-fi characters will be there as well, such as Peter Mayhew, who played Chewbacca in the Star Wars flicks. There also will be music by Warp 11, a costume contest and fashion show, art auction, movie-viewing room, and panel discussions with celebrities.
