Battlefield Earth

If you are looking for something to hate and despise, get thee to this movie. John Travolta plays Terl, part of an alien race that has conquered Earth. He’s the all-time dumbest movie villain. This is sci-fi at its very worst, and Travolta has never been worse. Decked out in a conehead and dreadlocks, he looks moronic and sounds even worse. I usually enjoy Travolta, but never have I so eagerly wanted an actor to shut the hell up and go away in a movie. This is a pretty major setback for Travolta, who was on a roll until this one and The General’s Daughter. This is a film absolutely devoid of all logic, and it’s ugly to look at. Awful, awful, awful.
