Arts Open October

October’s not just for Halloween anymore.

This year, the city of Sacramento, local businesses and area arts leaders have come together to make October the region’s official arts month. Called Arts Open October, the goal is to get people off their couches and out and about to discover the city’s museums, music venues, theater companies, festivals and more. It’s a noble cause—but not an easy one.

This is because it all comes down to you. You have to make the decision to, say, visit the new Crocker Art Museum, which opens this month. Not to mention the dozens of other plays, rock shows and gallery exhibitions.

So, open your mind to October for the arts!
