Arnold’s caffeinated cousin

It’s not often that I’m surprised by true innovation in a coffee shop. That changed when the barista at the Auburn Coffee Company, above Old Town Auburn, recommended their Laura Palmer ($2.50). It’s a fascinating combo of cold brew, lemonade and lavender extract. The barista explained that it might sound strange, but the acid-on-bitter-on-floral flavor profile worked surprisingly well. The Laura Palmer is like an Arnold Palmer on semi-flowery steroids.
