Where: John Natsoulas Gallery, 521 First Street in Davis; (530) 756-3938; http://natsoulas.com.
Hours: Wednesday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Saturday through Sunday, noon to 5 p.m. Through May 16.

Technically, John Natsoulas Gallery is not hosting a Second Saturday event since it's located in Davis and galleries there have a second Friday ArtAbout instead; still, the current ceramic show at this venue is worth traversing the Yolo Causeway to see in person. Of course, Davis is known for its ceramic-art giants, such as Robert Arneson, and the art community continues to give the medium its due with 30 Ceramic Sculptors, which includes Mark Danitschek, Evan Hobart, Keith Schneider and Colleen Sidey. The artists accomplish playful, serious and beautiful feats that will elevate the viewer's appreciation for clay.
