Susan Tonkin Riegel has long been a part of the Sacramento-area fine-art scene, which has included teaching in the Los Rios Community College District. In the past few years, however, the artist has extended her reach more globally: She's exhibited in Canada, China, Mexico, Switzerland, and last year, she had a residency in Sweden. Expect to see work from her Sweden series in her solo show at Shimo Center for the Arts this month.
