A Very Harold and Kumar 3D Christmas
Stoner pals Harold (John Cho) and Kumar (Kal Penn) fly off on another mad adventure when they accidentally burn down Harold’s father-in-law’s prize Christmas tree. Determined to replace the tree before the old man (Danny Trejo) gets back from Christmas Eve midnight mass, they wind up dragging along Harold’s straight-arrow neighbor (Tom Lennon) and a pal of Kumar’s (Amir Blumenfeld) who’s on a quest to get laid. In the hands of writers Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg and director Todd Strauss-Schulson (making his first feature), the result is politically incorrect on every level—raunchy, foul-mouthed, tasteless, offensive—and very, very funny. The movie’s R rating is hard-earned (pun intended) and well-deserved, so don’t take the kids. Neil Patrick Harris is back too, of course, and still a hoot.
