A shot at beer

Unfortunately, when one thinks Asian-American and alcoholic beverage, the first words that come to mind are Tila and Tequila. But Chau Tien Pale Ale (currently available at Nugget Markets) might fix this calamity. Chau Tien says it’s the “First American Asian Beer.” However, it bears little resemblance to the European-style lagers predominate amongst Asian imports. There’s the razor-sharp, hoppy bitterness you’d expect from a pale ale, but it’s also refreshing and floral while remaining dry, avoiding cloying sweetness or that pine-needle taste. Chalk it up to Azn pride if you must, but I wholeheartedly endorse taking a shot at love with this beer, rather than Tila (tastier, less STDs).
