Congratulations! You’ve decided to buy your own home, and that is one of the scariest and most worthwhile pursuits. Just think: You’ll no longer have to worry about that overly controlling landlord circling your home. You’ll soon be able to paint the walls that mental-hospital-green color you love! But wait; there are a lot of financial hurdles you must consider first. Where will you get your down payment? What types of loans are available, and how will you qualify? What monthly payment can you afford? The Consumer Credit Counseling Service (CCCS) of the Sacramento Valley will hold a first-time homebuyers workshop that will address these questions and more.
