This week, you’ll have four chances to celebrate Beethoven with the Sacramento Philharmonic Orchestra. The organization begins its celebration Thursday night at The Shack with Beer, Brats and Beethoven. It will feature Bavarian foods, German beers and a live polka band. Saturday night, the Sacramento Community Center Theater will hold Basically Beethoven, featuring Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7 in A major, and works by Mozart and Milhaud. The show repeats Sunday night at the new Three Stages at Folsom Community College. Sunday morning, the Philharmonic will team up with the B Street Theatre to perform Beethoven and Beyond, an educational look at classical music. You shouldn’t expect this composer to roll over just yet.
