Arts & Music Issue: Recreating the scene
In 2019, Californians for the Arts successfully campaigned the state Senate to have April designated as Arts, Culture and Creativity Month. The resolution points out that the creative economy contributes more than $400 billion to the state each year and that “the arts serve to give voice to our many communities, spark individual creativity, foster empathy and understanding, spur civic engagement, and serve as a continual source of personal enrichment, inspiration, and growth.”
