Issue: February 11, 2021
The February edition of the Chico News & Review hit the stands last Thursday and I am proud of the work our small staff has put into connecting with this community and once again telling its story in print as we continue to struggle through this pandemic.
This month’s issue features: a report by Ashiah Scharaga on a woman’s experience with an emergency room physician who responded to her COVID-19 concerns by showing her a video on his smartphone with the claim that the pandemic was the “greatest hoax ever perpetrated on an unsuspecting public”; a review by contributor Carey Wilson of a couple of impressive virtual exhibits at the Chico Art Center; and a powerful feature story by Ken Smith titled “Death by homelessness” that is as heartbreaking as its name suggests.
Thank you for reading.
