Issue: July 04, 2019
Morning, readers!
Happy Fourth of July! Don't forget to keep your critters inside this holiday--animals tend to get scared of fireworks and run off. I'm only partially saying that because this week marks our annual Pet Issue. Inside, you'll see a good number of sweet kitties who've been found in the Camp Fire zone and not yet claimed. Rescue organizations are still finding cats--and still helping them find their way home--so check it out. Also, of course, we have our cutest pet contest--see if yours is a winner!
In other news: I have yet more news for you about the water on the Ridge, this time from a workshop/talk on plumbing that happened in Paradise last week; also, Ashiah Scharaga has an update on her massive story about the Miocene Canal; and Andre Byik checks in on county schools getting a substantial grant for counseling services.
There's always more, so pick up your copy--or read online.
Till next time,
Meredith J. Cooper, managing editor
