Issue: July 12, 2018
Morning, readers!
I know you loved the Pet Issue. Walking around town, I noticed this week our racks were on the verge of empty! I love it! And we didn't get our fill of animal stories just yet, so this week we offer you a glimpse into the lives of local falconers and bird lovers and, naturally, the birds of prey they work with and admire. Unfortunately, they are themselves falling prey to diminishing environmental protections.
In other news: A shakeup at Stonewall Alliance Center means new beginnings heading into Pride festivities; neighboring businesses balk at a proposal to put a drive-thru Subway on Nord Avenue; and we offer a couple of takes on Mister Rogers and the film about his life.
Until next week,
Meredith J. Cooper, managing editor
