Issue: March 15, 2018
Morning, readers!
It may not feel like it, but it's Sunshine Week, which was designated to shine a spotlight on open meetings and public records laws. In its honor, we aimed to determine just how well local government agencies handle public records requests. Hint: Not great.
In other news: We take a look at the community court model and what it could look like if implemented in Chico; Shakespeare gets the royal treatment at Chico State; and Hibachi Grill Buffet opens (finally!) in south Chico.
There's plenty more where that came from!
Until next time,
Meredith J. Cooper, managing editor
