Issue: December 14, 2017
Morning readers,
I'm sure by now most of you are familiar with the tiny house concept. Well, the folks at CHAT have a plan to build an entire village of them as a way to address the growing homeless problem in Chico. In this week's feature story, I look at some established tiny house villages to gauge their successes and talk with local policymakers about what stands in the way of Simplicity Village.
In other news: Students get involved in improving the south campus neighborhood; local activists take to the streets to protest the House tax bill (and Doug LaMalfa); and Editor Melissa Daugherty takes the Enterprise Record to task for missing the opportunity to scoop us on a big story.
There's always more, so please read on.
Until next time,
Meredith J. Cooper, managing editor
