Issue: November 09, 2017
Morning, readers!
Are you enamored by short fiction? How about really, really short fiction? Well, we at the CN&R have a great time every year reading through the winning entries of our Fiction 59 contest. That's fiction in 59 words. Exactly. Enjoy! And, if you like what you read, head on over to The Bookstore downtown tonight at 6:30 to hear the winners read their entries aloud. It's fun—I promise.
In other news: Local leaders get together to discuss how to, ahem, discuss polarizing topics in this volatile climate; the city and CARD consider transferring smaller parks to CARD control (including the possibility of a new dog park near downtown!); and there are two large-scale art exhibits worth a visit (see Scene and Arts Devo for more info).
There's always more in our weekly pages, so read on, dear readers.
Until next time,
Meredith J. Cooper, managing editor
