Issue: November 02, 2017
Morning, readers!
With all of the craziness that's happened over the past week—indictments in Washington, to name one—our feature story is particularly appropriate. It focuses on so-called "junk-food news," which is basically all that entertainment non-news that distracts us from what's actually going on in the world.
In other news: We take a look at the report on the events surrounding the shooting death of Mark Jensen by a Butte County sheriff's deputy; we get to know one of Rep. Doug LaMalfa's opponents in the 2018 election, Dennis Duncan; and we find out just how bad Butte County's opioid epidemic is (hint: really bad).
There's always more, so please pick up the paper!
