Issue: October 06, 2016
Morning, readers!
Who likes beer?! If you answered "I do!" you're in luck, because the next week or so will be filled with it. The CN&R's annual Beer Issue highlights some new kids on the craft beer--and cider--block and don't forget to check out the full schedule of Chico Beer Week happenings at www.chicibeerweek.net. Hint: They start tonight at Brewfork at the Patrick Ranch, where there will be craft beer tastings and food trucks for good eats. Plus, music!
In other news: Chico State releases two crime reports that tell two different stories about crimes affecting the campus community; the Chico Fire Department loses its SAFER grant, meaning layoffs loom in the future; and we give a rundown of all the money (think upwards of $50,000 for just one candidate!) all the City Council hopefuls have raised so far.
There's always more.
Until next week, Cheers!
