Issue: September 22, 2016
Good morning!
This weather has been divine, has it not? What a perfect time of year to go out and enjoy the park. Assistant News Editor Howard Hardee did just that for our feature story this week on access to Upper Park Road. The issue is up for debate--to open the gate at the Diversion Dam or not to open the gate? Read his story and learn more about the pros and cons.
In other news: Election season is heating up, so we touch base with the local League of Women Voters who've set up an impressive lineup of forums to keep us all abreast of the candidates' views; Chico City Council discusses the potential sale of the El Rey Theatre; and Arts Devo waxes nostalgic on Nirvana.
Until next week,
Meredith J. Cooper, managing editor
