Issue: September 17, 2015
Good morning!
Hope you've got your reading glasses on, because we've packed this
week's issue full of good stuff. First off, we cover the new age of debt
in America in our feature story. Household debt--whether through student
loans, credit cards or mortgages--is the norm for the majority of
Americas. Read on to find out what people are doing about this unfair
system.
In other news: Tonight's meeting of the Chico Area Recreation and Park
District will take up the issue of Humboldt Community Park, Chico's only
skate park that is in bad need of an upgrade; the City Council hurriedly
approves an ordinance aimed at homeless people (but they won't come out
and say just that); tire slashings plague a Chico neighborhood; and the
Supes take on the Greenline, again.
Obviously we have more for you than that, but you'll just have to read
on to find out what.
Until next week,
Meredith Cooper, associate editor
