Issue: July 30, 2015
Good morning!
Music is in the air. At least it was for Stephen Metzger while he was
attending songwriting camp with accomplished singer-songwriter John
McCutcheon. The campers learned how to pen some great lyrics while
simultaneously uncovering the history of folk music, which has an
undeniable link to social justice causes.
In other news: We catch up on water transfers that earned farmers in the
Glenn-Colusa Irrigation District millions this year; we sit down with a
bartending magician; we hear from a dedicated high school student who's
raising money for the orangutans; and one writer tries acupuncture for
the first time.
Read on, faithful readers!
Until next time,
Meredith Cooper, associate editor
