Issue: April 16, 2015

Mornin', readers!
As a wise old frog once said, "It ain't easy being green." Well, this
week, for our Green Issue in the run-up to Earth Day, we highlight a few
folks who make being green look easy. Check out our feature package for
profiles on four notable locals who are particularly dedicated to the
Earth (and the sky ... and the water ...).
In other news: Howard Hardee finds out just what the heck the upcoming
Toptional bike ride is all about (yes, part of the answer is boobs); Ken
Smith gets to the bottom of Empire Coffee's unrenewed lease; and I
introduce y'all to the North Valley Housing Trust, which has the
potential to do some real good for the homeless community. We also have
features on the Chico Breaks the Record endeavor at the Tackle Box, Lyon
Books' final farewell and much, much more.
Don't forget to come out to the CAMMIES Finale and Awards Show, 2-7 p.m. I'll be there pouring beer--stop by and say hi!
Until next week,
Meredith J. Cooper, associate editor
